Telephone Services-CENTREX Telephone Lines

Service Intro

In recent years, with the opening up of the domestic and international telecom market, we all live in a global village, and we need to communicate with others thru the use of the telephone and the internet. Our faculty and staff need a diversified telephone environment to carry on their daily affairs, and our students also need a convenient telephone service system. Therefore, our former president, Dr. Wei-Chao Chen, proposed a project in 1999 to "Upgrade the telephone communication quality around campus" and the Office of General Affairs took the task to improve the telephones in student's dorms. Under the support of the Office of Student Affairs, General Affairs replaced dismantled 3200 phones in student's dorms, and replaced them with new direct dial phones with a virtual switchboard. Later on, in 2000, General Affairs took steps to change the phones in various administrative units, departments, and institutes, satisfying the need for speedy and diversifying telephone service.

Application Procedures:

*Application for the Installation of CENTREX Telephone Lines / Installation Listing / Principles for the Installation of CENTREX Telephone Lines" Download
Step1: Fill in the "Application for the Installation of CENTREX Telephone Lines","Installation Listing" and "Drawing of Installation Site".
Step2: Submit the above forms to the Administrations Office of the Center for further processing.
Step3: Auditing Division audits the budget (processed by C&INC).
Step4: Application for installation is sent to Chunghwa Telecom (processed by C&INC).
Step5: Fill in the related information for devices and authority in the "Number Allocation Table" and return it to the Administration Office.
Step6: Chunghwa Telecom arranges for installation.
