Faculty Professional Development

In order to support the professional development of faculty and instructors, we provide training workshops and courses on instructional design, multimedia development, and instructional media application. Moreover, to broaden faculty's knowledge in instructional technology, information communication, and e-learning, we hold a "E-learning Society" lecture series periodically. Professionals and scholars from aboard or local professional organizations are invited to share their knowledge and experiences.

To support and resolve problems that faculty and instructors might confront during the course construction or technology application, we provide the consultation on instructional design via email, phone, or a face-to-face meeting during the service hours. In order to assist faculty and instructors in using information technologies and systematic methods for course construction and therefore to improve the quality of teaching and learning, we have issued the electronic newspaper, "Teaching & Learning at NTU," since the 2001 academic year. The e-paper has six sections, including Latest News, News about NTU, Special Report, Professional Column, Knowledge and Skills of Instruction Application, Discussion Board. "Teaching & Learning at NTU" is published on the 10th of every month.
